Sophia stands her ground and begins to draw her pistol as the two Klόns burst into the derelict hut. They immediately halt in their tracks, staring blankly at her. Sophia tilts her head, smiling at them. They both stare at her, confused. One of them is about to speak when the siren blares out and they both turn and run out of the hut.

Sophia turns her attention back to the hole in the wall, just in time to see the young girl lift herself off the floor and begin running away from the prison.

“Bugger it.”

“Will you stop?” Sophia cries out at the girl, who turns around, sobbing, “What do you want?”

Sophia can hardly hear her gentle voice over the sirens. Monsoon rainwater is in the air and huge drops fall from the high cavern ceiling. The pair of them are damp. The young girl is only wearing her prison-issued blouse. She shivers and repeats herself, “What do you want?”

Sophia approaches her slowly, not wanting to scare her. “I am looking for a friend who was meant to meet me over there.” Sophia points back to the hut. “She is a little younger than me, with blonde hair. Her name is Adria.”

“A man took her, a big man. He hurt her and carried her down there.”

The teenager points to a dark alleyway concealed between two decrepit buildings. Sophia panics and dashes towards the alley, unholstering her pistol as she runs.

Turning into the minor road, Sophia is blinded by a set of headlights roaring out from the darkness. Vasiliy’s Hansom tears towards her, almost knocking her over. She just manages to roll out of the vehicle's path in time. The auto disappears into the distant gloom. She hits the road with a fist.

“No.”
